BACK IN THE DELTA

Sorry to be so long in getting back to our blog. Last year seemed to be one continuous round of doctor appointments and hospital visits. Things are finally looking up. Zoe found a doctor that cured her vertigo attacks simply by having her restrict salt and caffeine. She is ecstatic after spending three months flat on her back.

Lovern is very slowly getting stronger and can walk short distances without either a cane or walker. After struggling with her blood clotting level, that seems under control. She just had a pacemaker put in to regulate her heart’s rhythm and is hoping to get some of her old energy back.

We are even beginning to think of travel again. We went for two days to Lake Tahoe where we had a terrific rate of $40 a night at a 3 ½ star hotel. Our room was lovely in gold and white and had a whirlpool tub. The inside heated pool was surrounded by huge boulders with a waterfall cascading into the pool. We tried the casino for a few minutes and quit when we were $10 ahead.
Took a boat trip on the lake, of course.

We are still set for the repositioning cruise in Sept. We fly to England and then cruise to Scotland, Ireland, France, Greenland, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and end in New Jersey. We left some extra days at the end of the cruise so that we could visit friends in New Jersey, Connecticut and my nephew in Massachusetts. We are even hoping for a day trip to Manhattan.

We’ll try to keep up the blog better.

Hi Kids, Good on you! Glad you are back
amongst them. Zoe, isn't it funny how
something as simple as caffeine and salt
can lay you low. Since having my heart
procedure, I can't have caffeine of any
kind. The pacemakers today are really
good, Lovern. We just can't give in to all
this trivia, can we? We are home for the
summer then back to New England, Cambria and New Zealand. Next year, we
hope to get to Southeast Asia, England
and Italy - Keep on truckin' J&M
