HAVASU TO LAUGHLIN

You can’t go home again. The funny little laidback Laughlin that we knew from years ago is no more. Now there is a strip like Las Vegas and that is all. No town. I guess they go across the river to Bullhead City for groceries and services. Unlike Las Vegas though, there are no nice lounges where you can pause and have a drink. There are only smoky dark slot machine areas. We did go for a pleasant boat ride on the river where we learned about the history of Laughlin and about all the dams that are on the Colorado River. We had a very good dinner at the Gourmet Room in the Riverside with a view of the river.
