LEAVING ARIZONA FOR THE SUMMER

Nesting in AZ

It has been a long dry spell since our last blog. We didn’t think you would find our medical, dental and eye reports too exciting. We are finally through with all of those (in flying colors, no less) and will start chronicling our activities again.

We took a quick trip to Boston to see Zoe’s grandson, Jameson, perform his graduating concert at the New England Conservatory of Music. We dreaded the plane flight but were able to upgrade to Economy Plus that was much more comfortable. We feared the cold weather in Boston also but except for a chilly wind when we first arrived, the weather actually warmed to 67 by the time we left. We were thankful that we missed the next snowstorm that arrived two days after we left.

Lovern’s brother and his wife (Art and Jo) from Connecticut have rented a park model here in the park (actually right behind us) for the entire month of March and we have been more active than usual in sightseeing, shopping and eating out. It has been a lot of fun having them here. Art and Jo inspired us to get out to see many sights around Mesa that we have never gotten around to visiting. With Art’s interest in professional baseball, we attended a spring practice game between the Cubs and the Giants. Art clued Zoe in on the many intricacies of the game.

Leaving here May 1 to rent a houseboat on Lake Powell.
