BACK IN THE DELTA

As predicted, the flowers have been blooming profusely from Arizona to California. We are now back at our houseboat and feeling back in our element. We did so much work on the boat last year that now we are concentrating on furnishing the top deck patio. We are very happy with our revision last year of taking out the two sets of bunks and replacing them with closets and an office. It is really convenient.

Cap’n Toni did an excellent job of keeping an eye on the houseboat over the winter and then finding a powerboat for us to run around in as well. Together we purchased a Sea Ray 21-foot I/O with a cutty cabin that sleeps three and has an alcohol stove, sink, ice box and separate toilet. Zoe and Toni are already planning grand schemes for exploring waterways across the US to even the inland waterway on the east coast. Toni will operate and maintain both boats while Zoe and I kick back and enjoy the ride. At our age, we’re ready for it.

With our easy access off of I-5, we are looking forward to many friends who will be stopping by this summer as they head north. It’s looking like a great summer.
